How to Make the Latest Summer Trend Wearable: Bright Eyeshadow

When color blocking and bright washes of color on eyelids walked onto the runway for spring, I knew I would be hopping on the band wagon. Don't get me wrong, I lurv me some neutral or smokey eyes, but there is something to be said for being able to put a wildly unnatural color on your eye and work it.

Enter the orange eyeshadow. On my skin tone, orange is definitely a summer color because that's when the olive tones in my skin come out to play. So, I am incorporating it into my eye makeup today to bump it up a notch and you can to! Don't believe me? Well I'm confident that you can. How confident?
 That confident.

Because you don't want to overdo a bold eye by adding lots of colors, this tutorial is unbelievably simple.
This one might do the color a little more justice?

Remember when I told you not to use the angled contour brush for patting on product? Well, never say never I guess. I used it to pack the color all over my lid (make sure and blend the area between lid and crease). In the inner corner, I put E.L.F.'s radiance enhancer in golden. I lined the lower lash line with my teal CARGO liner. And that's that.
The lighting doesn't do the cheeks justice, but on the face I have MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Pink Power from the Wonder Woman Collection. I brushed that on my cheek bones (like a blush, not a bronzer) and used the E.L.F. radiance enhancer again on the apples of my cheeks, temples, nose bridge, and cupids bow. Like I said before, the lighting doesn't do it justice because it definitely gives that "glow from within" look.

Finally, on the lips I am wearing a L'Oreal HIP Brilliant Lipshine in Outspoken.

Will you rock the bright eyeshadow trend? What colors will you use?
