Dollar Store Find: Makeup Remover Wipes

I have a confession: I am a dollar store junkie. I don't simply enjoy the dollar store when I need to go there. I make up reasons to go just so I can pick through the cosmetics. Need some cleaning supplies? Dollar store. Gotta pick up some frozen veggies? Dollar store. Have an upcoming occasion that warrants a card? Dollar store. In fact, I'm sure many of the products I review on my blog will have been found in, on, around, or near a dollar store. Consider this a fair warning.

Whew! Glad that's off my chest. On to the product:

here isn't much to go over here as the packaging and pricing is pretty straight forward. For $1 you get 40 wipes that remove your makeup. The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was a cheap, easy, fast way to remove swatches from my arm during a raucous swatchfest. The next thing I thought it would be useful for is traveling. I am on-the-go nearly every weekend and it isn't worth a rubbery handshake in my nether-regions to sneak a 4 oz. bottle of facial cleaner past TSA. Keeping these uses in mind, I tested.

Size against MAC WW palette
Texture: soft!
Fresh swatches (the black liner and smudge next to it had been there for over an hour)

One swipe!
After many swipes.

I have to say, they do a darn good job. Most everything I swatched came off with a few swipes, leaving behind no residue or scent. Do they get freshly swatched water proof products off? You bet! Bonus: I noticed my skin feeling softer and smoother BEFORE reading the bullet points on the front of the packaging to see that it contains Aloe and Vitamin E!

Verdict: I don't know how other cheap wipes (think e.l.f.) stack up against these, but they are worth every penny!
