Look Book: Deep Purple Smoky Eye Using the Kat Von D Get the Look Kit

This is the last of my (posted) looks using the Kat Von D Get the Look Kit. This was the most challenging look of the three because I used the High Voltage Primer in Smoky and I have never used such a dark, opaque base before. It was also the most fun.

Originally, I started out with something that looked like this:

But that was very similar to the other look I did using this side of the palette. I had to spice it up.
Colors from the left: Cholita, Shiba, Babe, Missy

I hope both Kat Von D AND mother monster would be proud.

I applied the primer in Smokey all over the lid (and just under the eye) and the primer in Sin everywhere else. I used Missy to highlight my brow bone and inner corner and packed Babe on my lid and under my bottom lash line. This color took on a whole new life on top of the smoky primer. Kat Von D, you are a wise woman. Then, I took Cholita and packed it on the outer corner of my eyelid. When this wasn't dramatic enough, I cut a crease with the matte black color (Lucifer) you see peaking out beside Cholita. I lined my eyes with the pencil that came in the kit, but again, I hate to take it up a notch. So, I used my e.l.f. liquid liner to draw the bird-beaky thing in my inner corner and a wing on the other side. Apply your mascara, and you are ready to head to a rock concert, tattoo parlor, or a playground, if you really want to have some fun.

I hope this gave you some inspiration for your look book! If not, and you are looking to see something else on the blog, comment (below)! vote (upper left hand corner)! send me an email (tab that says "contact")! Send me a carrier pigeon (you are on your own)! I'm flexible.
