Review: Dior Instant Eye Makeup Remover

As you may know, I have been on the prowl for an eye makeup remover that doesn’t sting but doesn’t leave behind an oily residue. Well, the good news is: I found one! The bad news is: I can’t support my skin’s fine taste.
I got a sample size of Dior’s Instant Eye Makeup Remover ($28 for 4.2 oz.) from redeeming beauty insider points at Sephora. Normally I love travel sized items to do just that: travel. Sadly because I have loved this product so, it is nearly gone.
But, I should do more reviewing and less lamenting. This product claims to remove even the most stubborn waterproof makeup while still being gentle enough to condition lashes. It definitely does both. The consistency is that of a runny cream and, despite being conditioning, I didn’t notice it leaving behind a greasy residue. The sting-free feature is another plus.
The only thing I am unsure of is whether or not long term use of this product would break me out. The description says "it is a “non-oily”, but this is not the same as “oil free”. Granted, the oil is what is conditioning your lashes and leaving my skin sting-free, but I prefer stinging to breakouts. Until I can get my hands on it long enough to find out, all I can do is recommend it and save for a big girl bottle.
Has anyone else used it? What did you think? Can you think of a cheaper dupe?
