What's in My Makeup Travel Bag

Because my family and friends are all over the U.S., I am traveling nearly every weekend. Besides learning how to pick airport security lines and how to judge just how long that shifty looking bag of off-brand gummy candy has been sitting in that airport convenience store, frequent travel has also taught this cosmetic connoisseur how to pack lightly. I don't even check a bag, y'all.

The first bag is the liquid bag. I first started carrying my liquids in a ziplock due to TSA regulations (didn't we all), but I have found that I do it anyway now because not only is it a way to keep some sense of organization, but if something leaks, there is minimal mess.
In the bag:
-Contact solution
-eye drops
-travel sized lotion (The Healthy Body Butter in Lavanilla)
-Garnier Skin Renew Anti-fatigue eye cream (for the inevitable mornings after the late nights)
-Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel (you never know when something may rear its ugly head...pun intended)
-makeup setting mist (to make makeup reapplication the furthest thing from your mind) mine is: Sircuit Skin Cosmeceuticals.
-sample sized perfume (anytime I am anywhere that gives out samples because they are THE BEST for traveling, and you don't have to worry if they break. It was just a sample!)
-tweezers...have you seen my eyebrows?
-baby scissors (I don't know what they are called, but they are just really small scissors.)
-the nail polish I am currently wearing (for touch-ups)
-foundation (Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer)

And it all fits in a regulation zip lock bag with room to spare!

Next up, the makeup bag. This is the hard part, as many of you makeup junkies know, because what if something should happen and you need ALL of your makeup!? What if the mood strikes you to wear teal liner, and you left it at home!? The solution is to take lots of products that multitask and a few stand out products.
In the bag:
-Osis - If you will remember, this is my secret to voluminous locks and the only product out of my entire hair care routine I bring with me.
-Lip color: one red, one pink
-Cheeks: MAC MSF in Pink Power (you have a blush, bronzer, and highlighter all in one) and Hard Candy Fox in a Box in Spicy and Sweet (a pink)
-Setting Powder: NC Smooth Mineral Powder (Dollar store find!!)
-Kat Von D High Voltage Primer in Sin
-Highlighters: Laura Geller, e.l.f. radiance enhancers (both shades to mix and match)
-Tarte Lock & Roll 12-Hour Color: The cream and powder can be mixed and matched for different looks.
- Colored Eyeliner for a distinct look.
-Beauty blender sponge

By taking so many products that can be used as eye shadows, or highlighters, or (like the MAC MSF) has a ton of products in one, you can pare down what's in your makeup bag and still have a ton of possible looks.
