Birchbox Review: Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream

This is the first of my August birchbox reviews! For an overview of what birchbox is, check out my overview and unboxing video:

If birchbox is old hat to you and you are just here for the review, continue!

Caudalie Premier Cru The Eye Cream is said to lift and firm the undereye area. The description given on the birchbox site is as follows:

The VinotherapieĀ® experts at Caudalie have come up with a lush eye cream that tackles all the main signs of aging: dehydration, fine lines, loss of elasticity and firmness, puffiness, and dark circles. This sophisticated formula alleviates all those issues with a potent blend of antioxidants, anti-aging ingredients, and natural hydrators. Plus, light-diffusing particles make the under eye area look immediately brighter.

Whether or not the cream performs all of the long term tasks it claims to- such as loss of elasticity and firmness - I don't know. The sample they gave was teeeeensy, and at $95 for half an ounce, I don't blame them. However, without having a large enough sample to work with, half of the products utility is out the window. As for the puffiness and dark circles, there was enough product gain some insight and I have to say that it doesn't do anything the Garnier Anti Dark Circle Eye Roller doesn't do for me. With the difference in size and, more importantly, price tag, I think I will stick to my drug store dupe.
