Review and Swatchest: Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Bronze Pearl (Light)

I’m going to be completely honest and tell you I was suckered into this product by the shimmer. I feel as though I have dull skin and so I am always searching for new illuminators that can out-shine my current fav Let me tell you right off the bat, this is not one. I say this not from a “It just wasn’t for me” standpoint, but from a “the product lied to me, I feel so used” perspective. First, some glamour shots:

At first use, the product is great! Shimmery and smooth, it glides on and leaves a dewy glow in its wake. It’s when you look under the hood – or the superficial layer of shimmer- that the façade is broken. After swatching it, I looked into the pan to find that the beautiful layer of shimmer that made me think I HAD to have it was gone and a new layer of dull powder lay underneath. I have had this happen with other products so I wasn’t new to the heartbreak, but still, I hated to see that happen to a product I had such high hopes for. Basically I don’t recommend this product because the pearl finish it promises is good for about 5 uses, or until you run out of top soil.
The only good thing this product brings to the table is the packaging. It does have a brush compartment and mirror which is nice when on-the-go, but if the product it houses is not good, it become a handful to juggle compacts.
Pass on this, folks.
