Review: Klorane Soothing Eye Makeup Remover

At the top of the Birchbox review lineup is Klorane's Soothing Eye Makeup Remover with Cornflower Water. I have made it widely known that I have been looking for a good, non-oil based, non-irritating eye makeup remover for quite some time. I have tried everything from H2O to Dior but have always come out with burning eyes or an empty wallet. Once again, Birchbox had my back with this one.

What Birchbox Says:
We’ve been trying to hunt down the perfect eye makeup remover for ages: some are too oily, while others sting our sensitive eyes. That’s why we couldn’t be happier about discovering this pH-balanced formula (read: it’s gentle) from a cult French brand. A day’s worth of mascara comes off no prob, and it’s suitable for even the most delicate skin.

They hit the nail on the head. Klorane has zero burn, leaves no oily residue, and took every stitch of even the heaviest eye makeup off. I don't know if it's an oil-free product because typically one is labelled as such if it is. But, as I said before, there isn't an oily residue and it hasn't broken me out since I have started using it (about a week now), so even if there is oil in it, it's proven harmless to even my acne-prone, sensitive skin.

But wait! There's more! The scent is divine and the price is unbeatable! For $9, you can have this deliciously floral (no chemical scent here) and very effective eye makeup remover. With drug store brands ranging anywhere from $3 - $10, this product isn't a splurge by any means. And, for those in the states, it's available at Ulta and Sephora, so it's readily accessible to many. Otherwise, you can order it on the Birchbox site.

Verdict: Klorane's formula is great for those with sensitive eyes or acne-prone or sensitive skin. If you are in the market for a new eye makeup remover (heck, even if you aren't looking for one), you MUST try this one.
