Review & Swatchfest: Natural Collection Moisture Shine in Raspberry

This was another brilliant goodie sent to me by Kat of kaleidoscopecoloursx! Truly, this and the 17 Lipstick in Beehive she sent have become purse staples because they not only do the trick when I'm in a hurry, but more often than not they make any look seem polished. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. There is a review to be done!

The shape of the lipstick itself is different than the typical stick and, while it doesn't make a bit of difference to me, I was wondering if you, the reader, has a preference in the applicator shape. Are you married to the conventional shape, or does it matter to you?

Although I would imagine the color raspberry to be deeper and more red (rather than pink), Natural Collection's Raspberry is a medium salmony pink, which makes it suitable for both moderately warm or cool looks. Very versatile! While not a blatant glossy finish, the dewy finish the lipstick gives makes lips look full and healthy. Another plus is that the formula is very forgiving when it comes to dry, flakey, or cracked lips. It's also very potent; it only takes a swipe or two to achieve the coverage pictured in both the lip and arm swatches above. Music to the ears of any girl who want to prolong the life of her products. This lipstick also has some lasting power (3-4 hours) in the form of the stain it leaves on your lips. While I have found this stain to be less forgiving on dry, cracked, lips, it fades evenly on normal lips. If you have a Boots nearby, this is an absolute steal and necessity for your purse and/or collection!
