Review & Swatchfest: Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight

When it comes to primers, Too Faced has created a name for themselves with their famous Shadow Insurance. Being the smart cookies they are, they took their mush-raved-about primer and put a twist on it with multiple different colors and finishes. My first foray into the world of Too Faced Shadow Insurances began with one of these primers in Candlelight, a shimmery gold-based white.

Much like the original, Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight doesn't disappoint in the priming department. It can be provide anything from light, sheer, shimmery coverage under shadow to heavier, more opaque coverage without getting caky. If you are hesitant about the shimmery finish, it looks good under both shimmery or downright sparkly eyeshadow as well as provides an interesting contrast to matte shadows placed over the top. When applied at 8 in the morning, it didn't move until I took remover to it at 10pm that night...on a snowy/rainy day! Needless to say, it stays put.

If you are an original Shadow Insurance lover, try this! If you are new to the Too Faced Shadow Insurance line, try a few; they are so worth it!
