Review, Swatchfest, & Giveaway: Laura Geller's Tahitian Glow Baked Body Frosting

Summer is upon us and many of us are after the sleek, sculpted look that only a tan can give us. One of my favorite products - and one that both sun worshipers and vampires alike can love too - is Laura Geller's Baked Body Frosting in Tahitian Glow. This huge compact comes with an application puff and a ton of product to apply on both the face and body. Beyond that, it can also be used both wet and dry. The versatility of this product knows no bounds!

So, now that I've talked a little about what you get, I thought I would show you what it can do. Aside from its conventional use as a bronzer for the face (picture at the bottom of the post), this is a great product to use on the legs and arms. It gives relatively heavy, but natural coverage and a glow that could fool anyone into thinking it's real.

To show you how it works on the legs, I applied it to one leg dry and another wet so that you could see how much coverage each type of application type of application gives you. I find it's good at covering bruised knees and shins that I somehow can never seem to avoid. I love how it seems to even out skin tone and give a subtle sheen to my legs. Because it's a powder, it washes off after each use, but I find this is preferable to the semi-permanent streaky coverage that can last days with lotions and other self-tanners.

Speaking of self-tanner, while it's good for leg coverage, it's also good at covering botched self-tanner application. To show you just how good it is, I have a before picture (below) of my arm with a few sections that I managed to miss. After I applied LG's Body Frosting, it's like they were never there. So, this product also functions as a color corrector for home jobs gone bad.

The one thing you will need to anticipate with this product is replacing the puff that comes with it. After one wet full body application, the puff was looking a little worse for the wear, but it's nothing a drugstore puff or sponge couldn't easily replace.

Laura Geller's Baked Body Frosting retails for $45 on QVC.com, but you can get a stellar deal on it if you purchase it in the Glow-n-Behold set that premiered a few weeks ago (I will have a review & swatches of that set up in a day or two). If you are a diehard LG fan, like me, this might seem like a more appealing option to you.

The last, and perhaps best part of this post is that you have a chance to win this wonder product! There is a rafflecopter widget embedded at the bottom of the post. All you have to do is subscribe to theHazeleyehoney on youtube and comment at the bottom of this post telling me where you are going to get your glow on this Summer! As usual, there are a number of other things you can do, but only the two previously mentioned are necessary. This giveaway ends a week from today. Good Luck!
