Review & Swatchfest: Orchid, Sunset Peach, Gold Dust, Strawberry

From left to right: Orchid, Sunset Peach, Gold Dust, Strawberry
In case you are new to the Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss swatches, I've already done 8 here and here. I'm reviewing and swatching them, as well as a ton of other Revlon products, to celebrate making it into the final challenge of the Allure Beauty Blogger Awards! Revlon Colorburst Lip Glosses have enough variety in their finishes, textures, and colors to keep you made up for any season and event. The four in this post are among the more sheer shades in the line, but all are great when worn alone or as a lip color transformer when worn over lipstick or liner. Orchid is a sheer, pale pink gloss with light lilac shimmer. Sunset Peach is a sheer, light tangerine with gold shimmer.  It's a wonderful way to work a must-have color for the Spring and Summer into your makeup without feeling like you went overboard on the orange. Gold Dust is exactly as it sounds in that it is a sheer, nearly clear base laced with bronzy-gold shimmer. And Strawberry, the most opaque of the four, is almost a watermelon pink with a hint of silver shimmer. Despite its opacity, Strawberry doesn't sink into lip lines and the color even stains the lips to leave a hint of color behind even after the glossy finish has worn off.

Depending on the opacity, the overall wear time is on par with most lip glosses at 2-3 hours before it is completely gone from the lips. If they are more pigmented, however, the shade will leave behind a stain that can last for 4-5 hours! Well worth the drugstore price, if you ask me.
