Review & Swatchfest: RevitaLash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil

In addition to the Raven 12 Hour Eyeliner from RevitaLash, I had the opportunity to try their Spotlight Highlighting Pencil as well! As I mentioned before, despite sporting the RevitaLash name, the highlighting pencil doesn't claim to enhance lash growth. It does, however, promise a unique gel-based formula that ensures the shimmery finish will stay for hours. In testing, I've noticed that it stay crease-free for 3 hours when left unset with a powder and without being worn over a base. When worn over NYX Eye Primer, the Highlighting Pencil stayed all day without creasing and with only minor fading throughout the day. Overall, a good result for something that doesn't claim to be waterproof or stay for a given number of hours.

The color is a shimmery champagne. As a means of comparison, it' less pink the Urban Decay's Sin which makes it more flattering for skin tones across the board. The gel base of the pencil gives it a creamy texture despite having some shimmer. In terms of function, it wears beautifully on the inner corner, brow bone, as a wash of color on the lid, and even as a cheek bone highlight. So, if the $24 price tag is the only thing leaving you hesitant about whether to purchase, rest assured you will definitely get some good out of this multitasker. While there are definitely products that have a similar function, RevitaLash's Highlighter Pencil explicitly states that a portion of the proceeds fund breast cancer research. You can learn more about that, and the product itself, on their website!
