Review & Swatchfest: Revitalash Raven 12 Hour Eyeliner

In and of itself the name Revitalash always brings to mind the look of lush, long lashes. However, while they might be known for their lash growth serum, they will have you whole eye covered the Summer with the launch of two cosmetics pieces: the Spotlight Highlighting Pencil and Raven 12 Hour eyeliner. This review is about the liner, but you can expect reviews and swatches of the Highlighter soon!

While this eyeliner won't lengthen or thicken your lashes, it still brings some Vitamin E to the table to condition skin around the lashes - something that those who are easily irritated by eyeliner might love. In addition to keeping lashes healthy, Revitalash's Eyeliner also claims raven black pigment (which is really no joke!) and 12 hour wear and definitely delivers on both - at least on the upper lash line. I find it only lasts 7-8 on my waterline, but that's still saying something considering most brands, even Urban Decay and MUFE, slide off in 3-4 hours. Not only that, but Revitalash's Eyeliner is the blackest of black liners I have that stays truly opaque on my waterline. Most others sheer out when they mix with the natural moisture. This is probably due to the unique gel texture the product has that, despite being in an automatic pencil form (a form I associate with dry, brittle product), is really smooth and creamy.

As I mentioned above, the liner is automatic and comes in a twist up packaging with a blending sponge on the back. Typically these go unused on the bucks of my eyeliners because they are flimsy and lose their shape, or even fall off, after a few uses. Not this one! It's pretty solid and great at smoky out liner. Despite not needing, or being able, to sharpen it, the tip of the pencil is narrow enough for putting product ultra close to the lash line (to give the appearance of super thick lashes) even after multiple uses.

One swipe on the right, multiple on the left.

So opaque on my waterline!

Revitalash's Raven 12 Hour Eyeliner retails for $24, but considering I've had better results with it than I have with comparable brands at comparable prices, I would say it's worth it! I definitely recommend you try this if, like me, you have liner issues on your waterline.
