Review: Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish Spray

Summer is upon us and it's time to sweat-proof your makeup routine. In an attempt to find the product that  keeps my makeup lasting all day (who am I kidding? I'd be happy if it lasted a city block in this heat.), I've tried 12 hour foundation this and 24 hour primer that, and the only product that has really held my makeup on is Skindinavia's No More Shine Makeup Finish. I've heard praises sung about this product around the blogosphere for well over a year now, but only recently got the opportunity to try it. In particular, I got to try the oily skin formula - but there are multiple different kinds depending on your skin type and age. To see them all, check here.

As for the way mine performed, I adhered to the instructions on the back -applying both before and after makeup application - and found that my makeup stayed every bit of the 16 hours promised. This isn't my first time in the makeup-setting-spray rodeo, so I was a little nervous about trying the formula for oily skin. Typically those that are made for oily skin dry my combination skin out and end up making my makeup flake off by the end of the day. Not so with this spray. This also means that it's not a mattifier so, while it kept my makeup in place, at the end of the day I still has some dewiness to my skin.

I should also add that I've found it has some unconventional uses. When I found myself without a medium to foil some shadows the other day, I misted my brush with some of this and it not only functioned the same way, but my eye makeup stayed all day! Double duty goodness - gotta love it. It does dry quickly though, so work fast!
