Review & Swatchfest: Too Faced LashGASM Mascara

Too Faced is a brand known not only for the quality of their products, but for the sometimes provocative names they bestow upon them. LasGASM easily takes the cake for one of the more suggestive names (although their new 3*Way liner is giving it a run for its' money), but to me it's completely warranted when it completely delivers. The only complaint I have is that Wonder(bra)LASH might have been a more appropriate name because of the way it lifts and separates. But, let's put details aside for now and get to the review.

LashGASM enhances the look of your lashes with a "rich and creamy, vitamin-infused formula to soften and stimulate lashes for the ultimate LashGASM!"  After a week of testing, I can tell that this is definitely true and manifests itself in the form of a thicker, dryer formula that thoroughly coats the lashes and makes it easy to build quickly. The rubberized brush with shorter combs spaced farther apart combined with the formula makes the brush cling to your lashes and coat them completely from root to tip. While the box promises both length and volume, I noticed more lifting and lengthening. In looking at the before and after photos (below) you can see what a big difference there is, and even notice some curling action (I didn't' curl my lashes beforehand!).

LashGASM retails for $21 on the Too Faced website, and would be great for those with short, straight lashes looking for some curl and length. A tip for maximum curl: coat your lashes once from root to tip. Then, on your second coat, hold the wand mid-strand and push your lashes upward for about 10 seconds to lock in the shape then continue on!
