China Glaze's Fall 2012 Collection, On Safari, looks like it's going to be a great mix of cream and frost finishes with some sparkle to keep things exciting. When I first got a peek at this collection, it was in trying the polishes shown below and it was refreshing to see some subdued colors with cream finishes. Don't get me wrong, I have been loving the brights that have been making it been on summer nails, but I love the richer, darker colors that come with fall. It was also nice to see that the collection didn't stick to a palette of frosted browns, as so many do.
The three colors I have below are Man Hunt, a true blue, Prey Tell, a deep, brown-based red that almost suggests blood (you're on safari, what did you expect?!), and Exotic Encounters, a teal. I was impressed to see that all of them dried down with a very shiny finish and had an average wear time of four days. These cream finishes are also great for layering another texture over. I find that they provide a better, less busy solid base than a frosted polish might. The bottom picture is of Prey Tell layered under Luxe & Lush from the China Glaze The Hunger Games Collection. As I tweeted the other day, it seems very "Girl on Fire" to me. Clearly the second movie can't come soon enough for me.
What do you think of China Glaze's On Safari Collection?
