L'oreal 24 Hour Infallible Eyeshadows & Le Colour Infalible in Gleaming Bronze, Glistening Garnet, Innocent Turquoise, Sweet Strawberry, and Pepsy Coral

Get ready for a color-fest of epic proportions. I decided to indulge in some of Summer's latest releases (both American and Canadian for those wondering about the French) and the number one collection I knew I wanted to try were the new shades in L'oreal's 24 Hour Infallible Eye Shadows.

For those who have already tried the formula on the market, these shadows are exactly the same for the most part. For those who haven't tried them, you are missing out! These hybrid shadow-pigments are soft, creamy, unbelievably pigmented, and a dead ringer for the quality of Giorgio Armani's Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows (although shades aren't necessarily comparable). One thing I love about these is that, with every shade I've tried, I get the color payoff of a pigment without the messiness. Because I'm guessing most will have tried one or two of these before, I'll get right to she shades!

Gleaming Bronze is less of a bronze and more of a very green-leaning metallic antique gold. Glistening Garnet is a vibrant metallic fuchsia. Innocent Turquoise looks like a metallic baby blue in the pot, but green undertones emerge when swatched. and it ultimately applies like a sheer blue duo-chrome. Sweet Strawberry is a matte shade that is more of a hot coral - but I'm not complaining. This is the only shade where the texture has wavered a bit. As a matte shade, it seems to get more compacted when dipping a brush or finger into it. While this doesn't degrade the payoff, it certainly doesn't keep it looking pretty. Finally, Pepsy Coral is a shimmery coral with light, golden undertones. This is definitely the least bold of the crew when it comes to color payoff. To see a look I created using Glistening Garnet and Sweet Strawberry, check the end of the post!

Overall, these are must-haves. If you are looking for more standard colors in the way of neutrals, check out the original collection. Like I said before, the shadows are just as richly pigmented and smooth.
