Mally Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Cherry

Mally Evercolor Starlight Waterprof Eyeliner in Black Cherry
Mally's Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Cherry is a creamy, blackened plum that promises to "glide on without a shadow base, yet last all day," as well as provide full to anywhere on the eye you decide to apply it. When I first used this liner, it was an unusually hot day and my pencil was a little too creamy and ended up smudging everywhere. But, when it set and dried, it didn't budge for 8 hours. When it did, it was only to fade a little, but there was no smudging. I was even surprised at how long it lasted on my waterline. Typically I give even the most waterproof liners 4 hours before they are completely off, but the last of this liner didn't wear off until the 6 hour mark. Pretty impressive!

When I swatched this, it was considerably cooler so the product didn't melt everywhere like it did on my first use. You can see from the swatch that these aren't terribly opaque at first pass, but, with a few more swipes, they reach the "rich, full, and strong coverage" promised on the product page. If you take a lighter and briefly (read: really briefly) heat the pencil, you can reach a consistency that will make it opaque with one swipe. While I know other brands make pencils that are this creamy at room temperature, they don't stay on my waterline as good as this one does, so I'm willing to work with it.

Another difference between this pencil and similar products form other brands is the price. At $15, it's not quite a drugstore pencil, but also not Urban Decay or MAKE UP FOR EVER. To me, it's worth it for the quality. Also, until midnight on September 17th, you can enter the code "CELEBRATE" when placing an order to get 30% off site wide. If you miss out on that, Mally offers her Evercolor Starlight liners in duos for $22, which brings the price down to $11 a piece. If you like waterproof liners and are into trying more, or finding the perfect one for you, you should check these out!
