NOTD: Essie Fear or Desire and Stroke of Brilliance

Today's Nail Of the Day is an Essie-fest, and a flashy one at that. I received both polishes as a Klout perk and thought it might be interesting to see how they went together. Stroke of Brilliance is a blue glitter polish with a mix of hexagonal, and multi-sized round flecks. Much like Set in Stones, an identical silver polish, it has a nice amount of glitter in each application and only takes two coats to become completely opaque. The one problem I encountered with Set in Stones is that, over time, it thickened up considerable and had major clumping issues. It's too pretty to stop using, but it takes quite a bit more time to work with and apply evenly, so I will be eager to see if Stroke of Brilliance reacts the same way.

Fear or Desire is a flat, cream-finish orange that was released with the Navigate Her collection. One coat provides streaky coverage, but two leaves an opaque, creamy finish that's good enough to eat. I'm still such a fan of the glitter tip trend that I decided to do a quick, and easy mani using both of these polishes and I'm pretty happy with the result.
