| Maybelline Limited Edition Color Show Nail Lacquer in Boho Gold |
Much like Downtown Brown from the same Maybelline collection, Boho Gold is another color that I have always been drawn to because of the amazing duo/triple chrome effect it has. Unlike Downtown Brown, however, I don't have a few dupes for it - although they are available in prominent brands on the market. Fir instance, Chanel's Péridot and OPI's Just Spotted the Lizard are very similar, although both are more green overall.
In the bottle, I would describe Boho Bronze as triple chrome nail polish with a bronzed gold as the primary color and olive green and midnight blue as two secondary shades. On the nails, however, this polish loses a little of its dimension and is mostly composed of the bronzed gold shade. The green is slightly evident on the edges, but the blue disappears altogether. While I would ave like to see all of the colors translate to the nails, I don't hate the results it actually gives. The formula could use some work as it's very sheer. But, it's so thin that three coats provides full coverage and dries quickly.
For the drugstore price, solid wear time, and unique color, I would recommend Boho Gold to anyone looking for a fun, fall-looking duo chrome polish.

I love this style of polish - its great. I love the petrol / oil look of it & the duo chrome finish. It really is a fab dupe of the Chanel's Péridot. 3 coats is a little annoying & I am super impatient when it comes to drying but i would put up with that for this. Its a great colour.
ReplyDeleteAgreed - and I definitely think the 3 coat aspect will be a deal breaker for some. I definitely wouldn't bother if it were any other polish, but, like you said, the color is fab! Thanks for reading!
Deletethis one looks like Chanel's Peridot dupe. Nice color!
