Review & Swatchfest: Rimmel Moisture Renew in Peach Fusion

This Summer, Rimmel's Moisture Renew lip gloss has been a godsend because it's one of the few lip glosses out there with sun protection! While there are certainly a few drugstore glosses out there that have SPF, I was hard-pressed to find any I owned as I scoured my collection at the beginning of summer. That's when my Mom, on our trip to Mexico, whipped this little gem out and once again schooled me in the art of functional glamour. Rimmel's Moisture Renew lip gloss not only has an SPF of 15, but comes in multiple shades and finishes to flatter any skin tone.

Peach Fusion is a sheer peach gloss full of gold shimmer, however, when worn, the shimmer is very subtle. Not only is this gloss moisturizing, but it stayed on for three to four hours depending on how much I was eating and drinking. The only downside is the scent. Maybe it's because I know there is SPF in it, so the scent is all in my head, but I detect a hint of sunscreen smell. The scent doesn't translate tp the taste, but it also doesn't taste as good as other glosses.

Scent and taste aside, this has been my go-to pool and beach gloss all summer. Rimmel's Moisture Renew gloss takes the typical gloss that protects to the next level. Added bonus: it's available at a drugstore price ($6)!
