NOTD: Butter London Tea With The Queen

Butter London Tea With the Queen

I first heard of Butter London's Tea With The Queen when Dovey, blogging goddess at Cute and Mundane and my fellow runner up in the Allure Beauty Blogger Awards, wore it in one of the challenges.  My mom, always in search of the perfect nude/taupe/greige polish, had me ask her what she was wearing and, after she found out it was Tea With The Queen, immediately went out to get it. Unfortunately, she didn't feel like this particular nude complemented her skin tone and, for once, having pastier, fairer skin than my mom payed off because last time I was home, she offered it to me.

Tea With The Queen is a muted caramel with peach undertones that covers the nail completely with two coats. This is my first experience with a Butter London polish and I'm very impressed. For as expensive as they are, the creamy consistency, shiny finish, and lasting power justify the price. It's almost as thick as a Zoya polish, but chips away like a typical nail lacquer whereas Zoya polishes have a more rubbery texture and peel away.

Tea With The Queen is a great warm nude for the coming fall months. But, as my mom proved, this shade of nude won't be for everyone. I have warm to neutral undertones whereas she is more olive. Cooler skin tones looking for the perfect nude will definitely want to check it out!
