| e.l.f. Nail Polish in shades 23, 24, and 26 |
While at Target the other day, I spotted some of the latest e.l.f. polishes to come out for fall. This batch was especially intriguing, not only because of the haute snakeskin caps they sport, but for the abundance of cream-finish shades present. Priced at $1, the polishes in their essentials line are good considering the cost, but some cream-finish shades have texture issues that leave them transparent after 2-3 coats. After seeing the new look and $1 price hike, I thought I would give what could potentially be a new formula a chance. Good thing I did because there are some real winners here!
Rather than names, I only found numbers on these little guys. So, we will now talk about polishes 24, 23, and 26. Shade 24 is a deep plum shade that's opaque after two coats and dries down to a very glossy finish (no polishes shown have a top coat on except for the picture with Butter London's Matte Finish over 24). Shade 23 is an interesting, cream-finish, deep blue-purple base with a mix of blue and purple sparkle. Very spacey. This, too, went on opaque in two coats. Finally, shade 26 is a medium blu-based red with a cream-finish. This is the perfect red for the impending holiday season and shared the great texture and opacity the two previous shades had.
All polishes have standard lasting power (2-3 days without chipping on me). I was most impressed with the quality of color, high shine finish, and opacity. For $2 a piece, these are some seriously great polishes to have on hand for fall and winter.
While these aren't available on the
e.l.f. Cosmetics website, you can find their original polishes, as well as a ton of other new products (like their new
HD Blush or
Baked Shadow Palettes).

Those nail polishes look so nice. Lovely colours & great finish to them. The Baked shadows look really nice too. I am excited to try them out
