Review & Swatchfest: Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoo in Blue on By, Fuchsia Fever, & Ready, Set, Green

Maybelline Color Tattoos in Fuchsia Fever, Blue on By, and Ready, Set, Green
I think I've finally purchased the last of the limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoos that came out this fall! I found the earth toned collection a few weeks ago and have been loving all of them through this transition into fall. This winter, however, will definitely call for some amazing gem tones, so I knew I needed to find these little ones.

Fuchsia Fever is a just as it sounds and is a metallic fuchsia. Blue on By is a metallic royal blue and Ready, Set, Green is a rich, metallic, emerald green. One thing I love about all of these is that, instead of having the typical shimmer that other Color Tattoos have had, these are true metallics with little to no shimmer to speak of. In terms of texture, these are some of the thinner shadows from the line and take a little bit of building to eliminate streaking and maximize opacity. The staying power, however, is exactly the same. While I've only just purchased them today, so I haven't had a chance to fully test them on the lid, they dry down within 2 minutes of swatching and haven't smudged in the 3 hours I've had them on.  Simply fabulous and very much in line with other shades from the line.

Even if you aren't a color-lover, these are a must-try for the winter. Step out of your comfort zone with these perfect gem tones that can either be worn alone or under shadows to make them extra rich. For those having trouble finding them, I found mine at Walgreens, but I've heard reports of Target sightings. Good luck!
