Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Volume Gloss in Nude Rosé

Yves Rocher is a botanical beauty company that relies on formulas and methods that are generations old to make top notch beauty products. While they used to make the leaping bunny list for cruelty free brands, they still tout eco friendly production practices from harvest to application. This is my first experience with the brand and, I have to say, it has been a good one!

Despite not quite understanding the "pulp" part of the name - I assume it has something to do with its' botanical makeup - Sexy Pulp Volume Gloss promises a non-sticky texture to provide a buildable product that gives ultra-plump and shiny lips. While I don't notice the tell-tale tingle of ingredients that promote plumping, nor do I notice the plumping itself, this is a nice gloss overall. I wouldn't describe it as buildable, but I have two shades that are means to be on the lighter side. Nude Rosé is a sheer peach with light pink sparkle while Cristal is a clear gloss with a cosmic silver and purple shimmer. A color like Dark Red is probably a shade meant to give the user more versatility in coverage.

I also wouldn't describe these as non-sticky. But they are less sticky than other glosses that are just as shiny. I'm never expecting complete non-stickiness from a gloss, so to find one that is better than the rest is a win in my book. These also have some pretty good longevity at around 3 hours with some added moisture even after the product is gone.
