Review & Swatchfest: IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Tan and Natural Medium

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer
I don't know about you, but as the winter months approach, I find myself looking at a paler, and sometimes more sallow reflection when I put my makeup on in the morning. The drastic decrease in pigment to my already fair face makes it easy for dark circles and blemishes to rage openly. Because I refuse to get in a tanning bed and can only take so much fake bake, I need heavy duty concealer that promises not to cake or dehydrate my skin in already dry weather, and I think I've found it.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer has Vitamin K - an ingredient often reported to decrease the amount of time skin stays swollen and discolored from surgery - serves to actively decrease under eye circles over time while the Vitamin C increases cell turnover and can be attributed to the anti-aging claims. While I can't attest to either of these properties, as I don't typically have dark circles or wrinkles,  I can say that the coverage is spectacular and the texture is smooth and moisturizing.

While the directions say you can use this as an under eye concealer, spot concealer, or even an all over foundation, I've primarily used this under my eyes. The consistency is very thick and resists a surprising amount when coming out of the tube, but putting on the back of my hand to warm it up help it spread really well under my eyes. Once down, it doesn't dry completely matte, but doesn't feel like it will slide away either. The texture also lends to its' ability to stay all day - a definite plus!

Verdict:

Those looking to cover dark circles, redness from blemishes, or even a very full coverage concealer will love the thick, moisturizing texture this concealer has along with the full coverage. While it might be too much coverage for the summer months (for me, at least), this is the perfect product for the dry winter weather that leaves skin so pale. When purchased individually, Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer retails for $24. On QVC, however, you can purchase the concealer along with a dual-ended brush for $29. Given my positive experiences with their brushes (to come soon), I would highly recommend going this route.
