Review & Swatchfest: Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Noir Emerald

Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Noir Emerald

Avon's Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Noir Emerald is a deep green with a tinge of blue (making it nearly a teal) with light teal frost. This is my first experience with Avon products, let alone their nail varnish, so I was interested to see just how well a $4 nail polish could preform. Sometimes things can be a little touch and go when it comes to consistency within a line at that price range. Fortunately, this polish was a major go!

The consistency of Noir Emerald was surprisingly thick and has a rich, naturally shiny finish. It applies pretty evenly and, with two coats, my nails were thoroughly covered and streak-free with little-to-no effort! On me, the polish lasted about 3 days on my fingers and, although Avon claims you can get up to 12 days of wear, I don't expect that out of any polish. 3 days is about average wear time for me, so I wasn't unhappy about the results! Bonus: major dupe alert! Noir Emerald look similar to Butter London's Thames polish. This is strictly coming pictures I've seen online, but Thames appears to be slightly more blue. Still, for an $8 price difference, I'll take it!

Avon is available for purchase online, however I purchased mine in an Avon boutique (Absolutely Avon in Derby, Kansas and it was the first one I have ever seen!). If you can, I recommend going in person or calling your local Avon rep because you can actually see the product in person. These polishes are typically $6 individually, but they are currently having a 2 for $6.99 promotion online! For an affordable polish that wears better than many polishes in the same price bracket, I would really recommend it to polish lovers everywhere!
