| Avon Supershock Eye Liner in Metallic Teal |
If you are an avid watcher of the
Pixiwoo sisters, you will have already heard many praises sung of
Avon's Super Shock Eye Liner. So, when I paid my first visit to an Avon store, I knew it was something on my To-Try list. What I didn't realize was that the Super Shock they rave about comes in pencil form, while the only one available in the US is in potted gel form. Luckily, I don't discriminate against a product I haven't tried (look to my makeup stash for evidence), so I was happy to hop on the Super Shock train no matter what form it came in.
Metallic Teal is a true teal with ultra fine silver shimmer to give it the a metallic finish. The consistency is smooth and creamy, but slightly thinner than many gel eyeliners I've tried - both drugstore and high end. While it applies slightly sheer at first, it doesn't take much to build the liner s that it's opaque. While it's not waterproof, once on, it stays all day without fading or flaking. This also makes it a great color base for shadows if you are looking to intensify teal pigments or transform others. If teal isn't your shade, the liner also comes in a metallic deep gray, brown, and copper.
In addition to the performance, the price is nearly unbeatable. While it's regularly $7 (which is affordable as is), it's currently on sale for $3.99! For anything from basic liner shades to fun and funky teal, I would recommend this liner even for the full price. See
