Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Vibrant Spice

In my reviews of Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Noir Emerald and Avon's SuperSHOCK Eye Liner in Metallic Teal, I discovered that this isn't my mom's Avon (check out the commercial below). Gone are the days of neutral-only collections with a pop of navy or plum! Avon has updated and seems to offer a little bit for everyone. The True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Vibrant Spice is Exhibit A (or B or C, depending on the order in which you read the last two reviews). 

Vibrant Spice contains a yellow-gold, bold metallic grape, metallic medium copper, and shimmery chocolate brown. All shades are relatively pigmented and apply smoothly and evenly. The swatches below were achieved in one swipe, but when it came to wear, it took a little bit more to build up the same pigmentation. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by how vibrant and rich the purple and yellow were when worn. The lasting time was average for shadows, nothing spectacular, but they got the job done!

The packaging is a shiny black plastic casing that easily dirties but is just as easily cleaned and has a nice, big mirror for on-the-go application. At $9 for .2 oz., this quad clocks in at a better deal than many drugstore quads like Rimmel's Glam'Eyes Quads or L'Oreal's Studio Secrets Palettes that contain slightly over half the amount for about $5. Overall, a great purchase for the money! I recommend that you try to find an Avon store near you so that you can see the shadows in person since the photos on their site don't do them justice.
