Review & Swatchfest: Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eyeshadow in Plum Frost

Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eyeshadow in Plum Frost

Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eyeshadow in Plum Frost isn't like any plum I've come across. Rather than assuming the typical muted purple shade many plums do, Plum Frost looks more burgundy under natural light and assumes something closer to what's expected of a plum shade under artificial light. Coupled with the fact that it has sparse silver glitter in addition to a high metallic frost finish, and this might make it the most complex shade I've come across in drugstore shadows!

The texture is slightly gritty when dry, but still smooths out into an even finish. When applied wet, the pigmentation gets bolder, and the texture smoother, but I don't notice a huge color change. Like most marbled and baked shadows, there wasn't a noticeable texture change in the pan once the powder got wet, which is fab! I have to say that I'm a little surprised at how well this performed after my first experience with the Baked Eyeshadow Palette, but I'm really impressed with the color and texture, and it stayed all day when worn both wet and dry over primer.

Because of performance and how unique the shade is, I would really recommend this shadow. For $3.99, you receive 2 oz. of product which makes this an excellent deal - even for the drugstore! You can purchase Mineralized Baked Powder Eyeshadows at Rite Aid or on the Jesse's Girl website.
