Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nail Polish

Well if these aren't quite literally the sweetest polishes I've ever seen! Pastels and candy-coated shades are going big this spring, so Etude House decided to come out with polishes that honor them in a big way.

The shade "Purple" is more like a pastel pink with large blue, purple, and peach glitter mixed with smaller red and yellow flecks. "Apricot" has an orange-leaning light beige base with multicolored glitter. "Lemon" is a pastel yellow with yellow bar flecks with yellow, green, and red glitter. And "Mint" is a pastel blue with multiple shapes, sizes, and colors of glitter - the pigments of which are slightly overwhelmed by the milky consistency of the polish.

The consistency of each of these polishes is on the thinner side, which I find to be good for moving glitter around for a more even distribution, but it also leads to a sheer application. For all but Apricot, two coats were needed to get full opacity. Apricot needed more and never really reached full opacity. The glitter is easily distributed and doesn't take a ton of layering to get a decent density across the nail, but this is definitely not glitter-packed. Wear time for me was average at a about two days.

Overall, these aren't stellar polishes, but they are so fun and the shades are perfect for spring! When I initially posted about these on my Facebook page, someone suggested that their daughters might like them and I couldn't agree more. They are fun, sweet colors with a little bit of sass, and the price makes them great seasonal fixtures at $3.10 a piece. You can purchase them through KollectionK.
