it Cosmetics Tightline Primer is first and foremost supposed to act as a means to get mascara super close to the base of your lashes in order to create a tightline effect that many (including me) struggle to achieve on the upper lashline. While I've gotten better about being able to line my upper water line without going completely nuts (I truly believe my eyelids are ticklish), it's not something I attempt everyday because of how uncomfortable it is, yet I love the way it looks when I can. Tightline Full Lash Length Blak Primer is supposed to solve this problem with a tiny brush that can get deep down to the roots of your lashes in order to apply product. As with nearly all of the it Cosmetics products, it is said to include ingredients that nourish and fortify lashes. Because I didn't notice nourishment above and beyond any other mascara, I'll stick to commenting on the functionality of the product. 

The tiny lash wand is very thing and long with stout fiber bristles that really grab the lashes. I think both of these attributes are what made applying this product so close to the lash line comfortable. Unfortunately, the size also played into how much product I could get on the brush at one time (which wasn't much), so it took a few coats to achieve the results seen below. I should be clear that I don't dislike the results! I think it does exactly what it says in terms of achieving a tightline effect, but those who are one-coat people will not find having to apply multiple coats of a primer before even getting to the mascara might be more than they are willing to commit to. Still, my lashes appear visibly thicker and the base coats provided added thickness so my lashes appear a tad beefier when I finally do apply my mascara (as one might expect). The other benefit I found with this mascara is that I like the way it applies product to my lower lashes. Whenever I apply normal mascara to my lower lashes, they look like venus fly traps. I feel like this mascara emphasizes them without overdoing it. 

I think if you are someone who finds they've given up trying to fake the appearance of a thicker lash line, or "tightline" effect, with liners and haven't been able to do so with your normal mascara, you might want to look into this. Also, anyone who has ever eyed Cliniques Bottom Lash Mascara might also be interested in this because I find it serves that purpose as well. Besides that, however, I think those that can already tightline their water lines or get the job done with their mascaras can feel safe without it. Unfortunately, I don't have the individual price of this product because I haven't been able to find where it is sold alone. For now, I think it might only be available in the it Cosmetics Hello! Gorgeous 5 Piece Anti-Aging Set on QVC.
