Review & Swatchfest: it Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Stain in Matte Sweet Apple

it Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Stain in Matte Sweet Apple

it Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Stain in Matte Sweet Apple is a warm, matte red that is far more intimidating in the pan than when worn. In addition to acting as a powder cheek stain, this blush is said to contain antioxidants, vitamins A, C, and E, acai, green tea, and white tea and NOT to contain irritants like talc or synthetic fragrance. While it claims to be anti-aging, I mostly attribute that to the nourishing ingredients it contains and how it doesn't lay oddly in fine lines around my eye area. I don't have a ton of anti-aging to do, so I will mainly talk about how the blush wore.

Like my experience with Radiant in Rose - a shade I reviewed a few months ago - I didn't notice any significant skin improvement in using this. However, it did wear evenly throughout a 12+ hour day and I didn't notice my combination skin getting as dry and patchy as it sometimes can with powder blushes. As far as buildable matte blushes go, this is a fabulous option! It straddles the line between warm and cool, making it a flattering option for multiple skin tones and is easily built to accomodate a wide range of skin shades. The blush retails for $24 on the it Cosmetics website, but you can also purchase it in a duo along with the it Cosmetics Boutique Blush Brush for $35 on QVC - an absolute steal considering the quality of both!
