Review & Swatches: NYC Appplelicious Glossy Balm in Apple Plum Pie & Apple Blossom

NYC Appplelicious Lip Balm in Apple Plum Pie & Apple Blossom

After trying my first NYX Applelicious Glossy Balm Big Apple Red, I fell in love with the Lip-Butter-like line. It provided the hydration and finish of a lip balm, but the pigmentation of something a little stronger and the lasting power was decent at around 2 or so hours. While the fruity scent and taste might have thrown some off, I didn't mind and was even compelled to buy two more when I found them BOGO Free at Rite Aid!

Apple Plum Pie is a somewhat sheer berry shade that can be built for stronger pigment on the lips while Apple Blossom is a light barely-there peach that ultimately looks like a clear balm when worn. Both perform just as well as Big Apple Red, but I wouldn't recommend Apple Blossom for those that want a pigmented balm. One thing I noticed in testing multiple shades at a time is that the flavor and scent can get a little overwhelming with multiple reapplications throughout the day. But other than that, these are a stellar find for $2.99 a pop!
