Review & Swatches: Milani Eyeshadow Primer

Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Milani's Eyeshadow Primer in Nude is a rare find in the drugstore - it's a cream, flesh-toned eyeshadow base that evens out skin tone in addition to keeping eyeshadow vibrant and staying all day. While similar products might exist - L'Oréal's magic De-Crease Eyeshadow was disappointing and Wet n Wild's Fergie shadow primer doesn't completely cover uneven lid pigmentation. Milani fills the gap with an affordable primer similar to something you might see from higher-end brands like Urban Decay.

Saying it will extend the wear of eyeshadow to over 8 hours of wear, minimize creasing, and provide a non-sticky texture - Milani's primer makes no small promises. Fortunately, I found that it was able to deliver on all of them! It succeeded in evening out my eyelids so small veins were less visible and helped my shadow last both fade and crease-free for over 10 hours. As with any primer, you have to be careful with how much you use - piling too much on can have a negative effect on your shadows' lasting power. But for $6.49, this is the best option of its kind from the drugstore!
