Review & Swatches: NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder

NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder

While they might be best known for their Smooth Skin Bronzer, NYC's Sun 2 Sun Bronzer is a double whammy when it comes to getting your (fake) glow on. With a satin medium chocolate brown on one side and a medium gold shimmer on the other, this face palette caters to highlight, contour, and bronzer needs al in one. Initially, I was worried that the bronzer would be too shimmery to pull off a natural contour, but any shimmer that posed a problem in the pan, translates into a more satin - almost matte - finish when worn. Similarly, I was convinced that the gold shade wouldn't do my pasty pallor any favors, but I was wrong! The yellow tone seen in the pan sheers out nicely to a fine pale shimmer when worn. The shimmer is so fine that it appears as more of a "glow" on the cheeks rather than a readily apparent highlight - great for those who love a subtle, strategically placed warm sheen.

For $4.99, very few people could go wrong with this palette. You might steer clear if you are ultra-cool toned, but it's very buildable so even a light dusting would flatter most. That's 2 wins from the NYC bronzer department - have you tried any?
