Review & Swatches: BH Cosmetics Blush Duos in Daisy, Iris, Lilac, and Rose

Recently, I provided a short review of BH Cosmetics Blush Duos in a collective haul. But sometimes it's hard to catch the product images as they are flying through in 4 second intervals. Check out the full review below!

BH Cosmetics Blush Duos range in retail price and depend largely on sales and bundles. Generally they are in the $3-$4 range, and for two large blushes that's a steal! Each comes in a sturdy cardboard packaging (similar to palettes from theBalm) along with a large mirror.  The shades of the blushes I purchased are below:

Daisy - Contains a light champaign highlight and matte mauve-pink blush
Iris - Contains a deep matte berry and light shimmery pink
Lilac - Contains a light shimmery lilac and shimmery pink-tones highlight
Rose - Contains a deep shimmery rose and medium shimmery taupe

I was shocked to find that, given the price, the consistency among the shades and finishes was consistently great. The mattes are evenly pigmented and not chalky. The shimmer is fine, not overwhelming, and looks natural when applied lightly. The only potential downside is the tendency for shimmery shades to kick up a lot of product in application. I've found that applied heavily, they can appear a little opaque and unnatural. But it's nothing a light hand can't fix! I would say these are well worth it to add some affordable floral shades to your blush collection just in time for spring.
