CoverGirl ColorLicious Lip Gloss in Plumlicious, Whipped Berry, Sweet Strawberry, and Candylicious

I've been on a gloss kick lately. Something about the (impending) heat of summer makes me want to lighten things up in both color and texture, and glosses are a great way to do it. Among the spring/summer launches in the drugstore is a new shade range of glosses within CoverGirl's Colorlicious line – some bright candy-toned hues that are exactly what I have in mind for my seasonal lip switch-up. The colors I got were the following:

Plumlicious – A sheer neon pastel plum with a jelly finish
Whipped Berry – A sheer pink berry with a jelly finish
Sweet Strawberry – A sheer blue-toned red with a jelly finish
Candylicious – A frosted lilac with a soft violet duochrome

Each one swatched beautifully and with great pigmentation, but sheered out a significant amount on the lips. Each one glided on smoothly, provided relatively even pigmentation, and had a great non-sticky texture, but the lightweight consistency led to a short wear time at around 1.5-2 hours without major eating and drinking.

Ultimately Whipped Berry and Candylicious ended up looking very similar save a subtle frost in Candylicious. Additionally, Sweet Strawberry lacked all of the pigmentation the swatch promised. Plumlicious, while sheer, might be a great way for those who are purple-phobic to add an on-trend pop to their everyday look.

Overall, these are some good lightweight glosses to have, but don't let the stark differenced between the 4 when they are in the tube fool you into thinking you need all of them. On the lips they are very beautiful, but not as pigmented or diverse as you might think.
