Summer Beauty: A Makeup Tutorial

In the mix of summer sun and fun, it's easy to forget about the beauty trends the seasons brings. With outdoor barbecues, pool parties, and more, it's no surprise your next trip down the beauty aisle is the last thing on your mind. Luckily, you don't have to go far, or plan ahead, to find your next beauty fix - it's right around the corner! I headed to my nearest Walgreens - one with a Look Boutique - picked up some hot beauty new-ness to liven up my look and get a quick beauty fix. See what I grabbed below, and check out the summer beauty look I created!

To add a serious pop of color, I wandered over to the POP Beauty display - try to tell me it doesn't scream "SUMMER!" From there I picked up the brightest, boldest palette I could find - the 10 shade Bright Delight. With it, I harnessed my "green thumb" to create the look you see below! To finish off the eyes, I picked up Maybelline's Pumped Up! Colossal Volum' Express mascara - a new addition to the line I've been dying to try. The results: bold, dramatic lashes. To finish off my summer transformation, I headed to the nail aisle. I'm a sucker for gold glitter during the summer, and who wants to wait for their nails to dry when there's great swimming to be had?! Press-ons are my go-to, and I picked KISS gelFANTASY in Fanciful (seen in the picture by the pool) and Painted Veil - great for a summer night out.

Need another reason to tun to your closest beauty aisle? Walgreens is offering a FREE travel-size makeup brush set with any beauty purchase over $20 through 8/30! It's one-stop-shopping - you can pick up your summer beauty must-haves, and get the tools you need to complete the look for free. Check out the step-by-step for the eye look below, and let me know in the comments what you're finding in your local beauty aisles in the comments below!
