Review & Demo: Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara

Maybelline has hopped on the brow mascara band wagon, giving the typical brow wand a twist with their new Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara! Rather than providing a mini wand, as has been the case with most of the recent brow mascara launches from other brands, Maybelline chose to go with a larger ball brush - a choice than can be a little problematic for those with thinner, more narrow brows. While the brush fit nicely in the thickest part of my brows, it was harder to precisely cover the outer corners of my brows without snagging other hairs in the process. The result: Cara Delevigne brows that needed some filling in. The same will happen if you haven't waxed in a while and have baby fine hairs surrounding your brows.

While the wand isn't ideal, the wear is great! The gel looks very natural - not glossy, and it doesn't make brows feel "crunchy" like so many clear gels can. As the product warmed up throughout the day with the natural fluctuations of my body temperature, I found that it assumed more of a waxy consistency rather than melting right off. It made some some serious all-day wear!

Ultimately, this is a great drugstore option when it comes to brow gels, but those with thinner brows might want to consider using a disposable spooly to apply product.

What's your go-to brow gel?

That's a sizeable brush!
