4 Easy Hair Styles for Everyday

To the average person, my daily hair routine probably leaves a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong - I can pin great styles with the best of 'em, but my ultra-fine hair doesn't leave a lot of room to play. Flat and straight is the name of my hair game, so I try to keep my routine quick and simple. Naturally, that can get old after a while. When I've fallen into a hair rut that's gone on too long (then again, aren't they all?), I like to change things up with a new hair gadget or tool.

I took a stroll down Walmart's Health & Beauty aisle, to get some new inspiration. On the way, I picked up the Conair Infinite Pro Curl Secret, Infinite Pro 3Q Brushless Hair Dryer, a Classic Vintage Roll, and bobby pins (always a staple), and have seamlessly incorporated them into my daily routine! .
Here's how:

If I'm working with just-washed "first day" hair, my first step to achieving hair greatness for the day is a blow dry, and Conair's 3Q Hair Dryer is unlike any I've ever used. Designed to decrease drying time by up to 70%, and decrease heat damage to hair, it's upped my hair game immensely. Typically, I keep my dryer at a medium heat to avoid frizz and heat damage. But with this baby, I can crank it all the way to high speed, with maximum heat, to get a style that's dry and frizz free in minutes - seriously! I actually timed it out one morning, and found that the time it took my hair to dry clocked in at just over three and a half minutes.

Next up: style. This is always my least favorite part, because I dread "first day" hair. Somewhere in between second and third day hair, there's a glorious moment where there's just enough product in my hair to hold style and body before it becomes a greasy mess. I'm always in the search of a product, or tool, that allows me to hang in that moment of hair perfection. Curls are a great way to get there!

Conair's Curl Secret is an automatic curling iron that pulls the hair into the barrel, holds it there for anywhere between 8-12 seconds, and releases it to reveal a perfect curl. With both a low and high heat setting, I always go for the highest because I find that it helps my hair hold curl best. The lower the time, the looser the curl, but I always opt for 12 second increments because I know my curls will ultimately fall into loose, bouncy waves. Not only does it get the curling job done, but it's turned the job into a one-handed task so I can multi-task while I'm at it!

When all else fails, I reach for a shortcut. Whether my hair is fully-curled, or miserably flat, something like the Classic Vintage Roll makes throwing my hair into quick, but polished style a breeze. The same goes for other often overlooked hair assets, like bobby pins and barrettes! In less than a minute, hair that seems hopeless can gain some structure and style. Check out the tutorials below for easy step-by steps!

Get the look:

  1. Slip the Conair Classic Vintage Roll to the nape of your neck.
  2. Wrap hair around the roll, tucking it into piece. This doesn't need to be neat!
  3. Secure loose strands to the base of the roll.
  4. Continue tucking hair into the elastic band surrounding the rest of the head.
