Review & Swatches: Too Faced La Belle Carousel

Too Faced La Belle Carousel Holiday Kit comes with 12 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, and a travel size Better Than Sex Mascara - all for $49! Rather than one palette, this set contains 5. Each one contains "To" and "From" fields on the back, so they're ideal for pulling apart and giving to multiple people. Here's a better look at what comes inside:

Palette 1: Tufted Suede (matte cream), Angel Hair (light shimmery bronze), Haute Chocolate (shimmery chocolate), and Yule Log (deep chocolate with gold glitter)
Palette 2: Nutcracker (shimmer pink frost), Nude Beach (shimmery champagne with champagne glitter), Boxes & Bows (pink with gold shimmer), and Sugar Plum Fairy (shimmery plum)
Palette 3: Frost (frosty white), Tin Soldier (silver), Christmas Tree (emerald), Santa's Boots (matte black with silver glitter)
Palette 4: Who's Your Poppy blush (peachy pink with a gold shimmer), and Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (matte bronzer)
Palette 5: Luminous Peach blush (satin peach), and Sun Bunny Dark bronzer (dark, shimmery bronzer)

All of the shadows in this palette are beautiful. While some are staples that will flatter all, there are also some fun shades to play with (I'm looking at you, Christmas Tree and Boxes & Bows). They perform as well as you can expect from Too Faced, although I would recommend a primer to maximize lasting power and pigmentation. The same can be said about the blushes! Although no primer is necessary for these, their pigmentation is fantastic, and the way they are paired in each palette is very complementary.

The only downside I found with this palette is also what makes it so unique: the multitude of palettes. While the palettes make this set very gift-able, it could prove to be a hassle for the person that wants the entire set for themselves. I personally prefer to have an entire palette in front of me with multiple shades to choose from. With this set, I found myself fumbling over palettes, trying to remember what products were in which. While not necessarily a deal-breaker, it's definitely something to consider!

For $49, this set is a fantastic bargain that provides quality products and unlimited potential. Whether you prefer soft, neutral looks, or like to experiment with a wild hue here and there, this palette has it all - with face products to boot! Whether you're getting it for yourself, or for others, no one will be disappointed!
